Classic Fluffy Doughnut Recipe

hana | 23:01 | 1 Comments |

It's entering cold season now. I thought of doing some classic doughnyt that goes with a cup of tea or perhaps some coffee.

The ingredients:
  • 500g plain flour
  • 2 tablespoon or (6g) instant yeast
  • 1 tablespoon of shortening (I don't use in this session)
  • 50g unsalted butter/margarine
  • 2 tablespoon  sugar
  • 2 teaspoon condense milk/milk powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 small spoon salt
  • 200ml warm water(not so hot)
  • castor sugar or melting chocolate for topping (up to you)

 Directions:
  1. 1 Put the warm water- then pour into a big bowl. Add in yeast and then whisk. Follows by the 2 sugar, milk, margarine/unsalted butter and shortening (if you have it). Whisk all together to mix well then let it sit to rising and bubbles for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Once yeast bubbled up, sift half of the flour into the mix. Also, add the egg together.
  3. Mix well until it becomes a firm, soft dough where it doesn't stick anywhere else. Depend on the size of the egg, if needed add 1-2 tbsp flour to stabilise the dough
  4. Add the rest of the sifted flour. You can use a bread maker to mix the ingredient. But I just use my hand.
  5. Put aside, cover with a kitchen towel or kitchen plastic wrap & let it rest for minimum 45 minutes and not more than 60 minutes to raise double.
  6. Sift some flour on your kneading spot and soak your hand with some meal before taking out the dough.
  7. Take out the dough and roll to about 1-inch thick and cut with a doughnut cutter or alt you can use any jar lid to cut them,(I use the small cup) into a round shape and any smaller round plastic bottle to cut the centre hole
  8. Let it sit again for at least 15 minutes/max 20 minutes to raised double back, or when you lift them, they are more fluffy and lighter
  9. Preheat cooking oil in a generous size pan.  adjust to the  heat later when frying your raw doughnut, so it cooked evenly out and inside until they become golden brownish
  10.  When it becomes golden brownish, remove from the oiled pan into a strainer.
  11. Let it dry down some oil and then dip or sprinkle a fine sugar and its ready to be served.
  12. You can use chocolate and sprinkle too on top.
Waiting for the yeast to bubble

Then add the flour.

This dough after rested for about 30 minutes.

Cut the dough into a small circle using a small cup (you can use doughnut cutter if you have one)

Please excuse the look as this is done with my little chef :)

Fry the doughnut!

Ready to eat! :)

Flourless molten chocolate cake or flourless chocolate lava...our first attempt.. ....♡♥

hana | 09:29 | 0 Comments |
Last week I ordered a molten chocolate cake or famously known as chocolate lava from my colleague in the office..kak Juli.

.her cake all so rich in taste..so I give some to my daughter Qaseh to taste it...and she loved it ...and make a request to her baking less mummy to do it
for her...so I tried to get the recipe from kak Juli and do some googling for reference. By the way, I have no oven in my house, so we go to my mother in law house to do the baking.
Here we go..it a flourless molten chocolate cake or kek coklat lava Tanpa tepung.

The ingredient and the gadget...castor sugar, eggs, butter,semi-chocolate button and vanilla essence.

So you melt the chocolate using a double boiler or in the microwave Technique.

My little chef is mixing the egg yolk with castor sugar until...

Pluffy, pale like this.

Then beat the white eggs together with little sugar and vanilla essence...beat until it becoming light and cloudy.

you can prepare the aluminium container with some butter and sugar around it.

The little assistant of mine

Her father also gets excited to do this with Qaseh.

It's coming

the result after waiting 10-20 minutes

Tadaa...dont bother about the scratching...that is me testing the texture ....;)

Ready...

This is my husband creativity...he tried to turn the cake to blue color..but this is what he got...hahah...please excuse with my chocolate mess.

If you want it more watery chocolate, you can lessen the cooking time.

See..my first testimony..since this is our first day of the fasting day. I can only ask her...how was the taste...she said...Sangat sedap...super is delicious...♡♥♡♥
I shall improve more with the look...don't judge it by its cover...By the way, it is our first attempt...suprisingly all my sister in law plus my mother in law said it was yummeh..and delicious. What I can say is in terms of texture is very soft and the taste is very rich in chocolate ...so lava....futhermore there will be no taste of uncooked flour.♡♥♡

Highly recommended Birthday cup cake with thundercat..♡♥...super yummy

hana | 21:47 | 0 Comments |
His birthday is on 26th May ..I have no idea what i should celebrate for him with ...So I decided to make an order of a cake .i donno whether it is a man thing, but he's not cake type of man.hahhaha..

I choose cupcake rather than a big cake since its still a cake right..one day I just scrolling through my Instagram, and I found a comment made by my friend on her hot pavlova..so I click and it directly goes to the cake baker-owner Instagram. While I browsing previous entry of the cake that she had made it... I choose kinda mix cupcakes so that can taste the different cake.

Amongst the cake is red velvet, chocolate cake with cream and strawberry with some chocolate syrup,..and etc..i think u guys can see at the picture after this...so she also said to me that I can choose which preferable cake to make most or just name it..so I choose red velvet to replace with another type of cake.
Then to make it more memorable. I requested the baker to do Thundercat figure which I know that this cartoon figure he favourites most.

And yes...she said she can do it for me...
so..here is some of the pictures of the cake...and the rest is history. The cake is so delicious I tell you.and highly recommended..the taste is not so sweet and just lovely..the best thing is my husband loves it so much..he is not a cake man type yet he loves the taste of the cakes.mmmm...he also praised and amazed on the detailing of the Thundercat figure that she made it. Not a ready figurine and she made it from scratch. The Thundercat logo at the chest.,the hand, the six packs, the stripe on the hair......thumbs up...♡♥♡

Please ignore the scratch on the fondant made by my daughter Qaseh, who is eager to cut the cake
